Inspiration

I was inspired by Flora Nova Design and their recent blog post letting us know that Plum is a big color for 2009. Check out their recent Plum, Cream and Chartreuse wedding!

Pezzi D'Amore - Brazilian Wedding Favors

I discovered these from the wonderful Bella Signature Design blog. These wedding favors are called "Bem Casados" or "Well-Marrieds" and they are the most traditional sought-after dessert at weddings in Brazil. Each Bem Casado is artfully made and is light, soft, airy and filled with smooth, home-made caramel bathed in a special sweet sauce. Each treat represents two united parts sealed by sweet love, support and mutual respect. According to legend, everyone who tastes them will be blessed with the happiness of newlyweds, so make a wish before you take a bite. Amen to that!

Wish tree

I like this idea!

Skip the traditional guest book and create a beautiful display out of your friends' and family's good wishes. I love the idea of asking guests to write their specific wishes or advice for you on the cards rather than simply signing their names and writing a generic congratulatory message. After your wedding, collect the cards in a nice chest or box for the perfect keepsake
or give it in a album!
I also found a tutorial on making the beautiful crystal wish tree shown below here.

Yes way! Michelle Brand, an eco-designer from Manchester in the UK, repurposes the bottoms of discarded plastic soda bottles to create these breathtakingly beautiful decorative light fixtures, lamp shades, curtains, room dividers, and more. Ingenious and quite stunning, don’t you agree

Butterfly Theme

First off, this dress caught my eye In Martha Stewart Weddings. I was floored when I turned the page and there it was … the prettiest dress I have ever seen by Carolina Herrara! Of course, the dress is $9,900 a bit on the $$$ side. As we have said before, colored shoes add that little extra something something to your wedding look and nothing says glamour quite like the ‘Loupe’ evening sandal from Kate Spade™.
Do you love this butterfly cake? Well… you can make it yourself. Click here to purchase the products so you can started on your masterpiece from http://www.fancyflours.com/.
You can purchase these exclusive personalized mint tins from beau-coup. Estilo Weddings is responsible for these exquisite butterfly favor boxes

Directions on how to download and print are below.
1. Download Butterfly Wedding Suites Here (The file includes invites and response cards)
2. In order to avoide cutting the invites purchase Flat Card Stock from Paper SourceInvite Card Stock, Response Card Stock
4. Open up the document you wish to print such as the invite. Print out your desired amount. We recommend a few extras. The invite will simply have the design on it and have a blank middle.
5. Open up the word documents that are in the word documents folder and type in your personal text. You may have to fiddle with it to get the correct spacing since everyone’s wording will vary.

Something Blue ... a wedding dress!

I've always been a fan of the Ivory wedding gown- or maybe champagne, but never considered blue. Then I saw this blue gown Keira is wearing and it is stunning! Are you planning to wear a blue - or any other color - wedding dress? (I think this would be so perfect for a winter blue themed wedding)
